We caught up with some of our tenants, virtual tenants and members to see what they love about Antenna and how they find working in our space.
Tim runs Turbine Creative – a design agency who are virtual tenants at Antenna.
What does your company do?
Turbine Creative is a design agency specialising in innovative marketing media in video, animation, print and digital. We’re all about harnessing the full potential of a brand and ensuring they communicate the very best of who they are the world. We’ve recently worked for the BBC, Adidas, University of Nottingham, Sport Relief and The Wellcome Trust.
Why did you pick Antenna as your base?
I love how central it is and having used Antenna before when I worked within another design agency I always thought the facilities were great and the atmosphere always felt very welcoming and supportive. I guess I was also drawn to the fact that several other great creative companies such as Spool, Bottletop and Legendary Games are also based here. It also seems to be a great springboard for business growth with the variety of office spaces and facilities that are available.
What do you like about working from Antenna?
I love being based in the Creative Quarter and feeling part of the creative professional community in Nottingham. The cafe services good coffee and food and of course there is an excellent selection of drinks for after-hours as well!
Prior to the COVID-19 lockdown, Antenna also hosted some great networking events and always drew in some great speakers that added to sense of progression and creative boundary pushing. I love belonging to a venue that promotes such positive professional and personal growth.
Are you excited to return once the space reopens fully in September?
I’m really excited to return to Antenna once the space fully re-opens. I think we’ve all realised that there is really only so much connection you can make over Zoom and Microsoft Teams video calls. I’m really looking forward to having those spontaneous social and professional connections that can only come about from being in a vibrant and creative environment like Antenna.
