Antenna and Confetti support the fight against violence towards women and girls

Live image of the Hand in Hand event at Antenna, Nottingham

On Monday 4 December, we hosted Hand in Hand alongside Confetti Institute of Creative Technology. The event was student-led, and aimed to bring awareness to one of the most prevalent and pervasive human rights violations in the world, violence against women and girls.

The event was organised by Confetti’s Event Management degree students with the guidance of their tutor and their Personal Development & EDI team. The evening included live entertainment, courtesy of some very talented Music Performance students. The line-up consisted of Ona Raphane, Lys (Alyssa Morgan), SPLIT (Sofia Kellas & George Bower), Katie Bryant and Scarlett Ashton.

The evening’s live music was interspersed with stimulating discussion from special guest speakers, Juno Women’s Aid and the Nottinghamshire Police. Guests learned how they can show allyship and support activism to end violence against women and girls. They were also invited to donate, with all money raised going to charity.
