Antenna plays host to Industry Week

Camera recording live talk in Antenna

Each year, Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies invite some of the biggest names from the creative industries to put on masterclasses, talks, performances, workshops and game jams exclusively for its students.

From critically-acclaimed actors, Stephen Graham and Vicky McClure, Dr Who and It’s A Sin director, Russell T Davies, through to Aardman Animations, Twitch, and music legends including Linda Perry, Steve Albini and Tony Visconti – Confetti Industry Week really does pull in some amazing guests every single year from the creative industries, and we’re proud to play our part.

Antenna was a hive of activity as we hosted over 80 guests during this year’s busy week, allowing our members and tenants the opportunity to spot some famous faces and make some valuable connections.

Whilst the majority of talks took place in our sister venue, Metronome, were also delighted to host a number of events. These included sessions from Ronnie Renton (CEO and founder of Mantic Games), Joseph Hobbs (3D art specialist), Steve Austin (animation production), and Nadia Whittome MP. All sessions took place from our meeting rooms, and all were streamed live thanks to our expert in-house technical team.

“We love hosting Industry Week. There’s always a real buzz about the place, and it’s great to meet leaders from the creative industries.”

Honorata Jarosz, Antenna Hospitality Team Leader

It wasn’t just the Antenna team who contributed to the festival’s success. One of Antenna’s new tenants – STENCIL Creative Agency – delivered a session to Confetti’s graphic design students during the week, showcasing how Antenna members and tenants can get involved in.

“As well as the benefits of connecting with fellow tenants and members in Antenna, we get so much out of working with creative students from Confetti. Industry Week is a chance for us to give something back to the next generation of creative minds.”

Sam Bowles, Creative Director (STENCIL)
